New album - Kurws in progress
Recording session for the new album of Kurws is already in 90% behind Us. The line-up is: Bargenda, Kostkiewicz, Majchrzak, Zabrodzki, Carls and guests. Mixing, producing, post-producing and mastering will be THE things to rule Our lives for coming months. Hopefully it’s gonna be faster this time. Metronome shall keep Us in the tempo, “off beats” shall teach Us patience. Wish Us good luck!

Bargenda, Kostkiewicz, Majchrzak, Zabrodzki, Carls i goście. Miks, produkcja, post-produkcja i mastering pochłoną nasze życia na najbliższe miesiące. Oby tym razem poszło szybciej. Niech metronom dopomoże nam utrzymać tempo pracy a “off beaty” uczą nas cierpliwości. Życzcie nam szczęścia!
Kurws / Agathocles (5-inch split)
Five-inch split single by Belgian grind-core veterans and punk “big-band” from Poland. Lo-Fi sound meets the sound which is even more Lo-Fi, blast beats vs syncopation on the floor tom, saxophones and clarinets vs growl, rough guitar vs acid sound of the synthesizer. Due to the unusual vinyl format both bands try to keep it brief. While Kurws play one piece a little bit more than two minutes long, Agathocles fits four short ones. Both sides of the release are dedicated to the problems of Intellectual Property, freedom of access goods and freedom itself. The single is packed in a modest cover and a fold-out booklet with collages in color and an extensive quotation by Erich Fromm. Limited edition (100 copies) is enclosed in a silver metal box with black print on it.

Bat Shit Records is proud to release the debut album from Poland’s The Kurws. Previously released in Poland on Trująca Fala / Blinded Records, their debut takes the listener on a wild journey between time and space, jolting between abstract movements of spastic instrumentation and sound manipulation. They’ve managed to take influences of punk, noise and jazz while twisting it into something completely their own and creating a unique album that is sure to turn heads everywhere. To attach a single genre to it would be to give the album an utter lack of respect. The perfect album to compliment a world where the Dead Kennedys are better off without Jello Biafra and a Glenn Danzig that resembles the late, great Sam Kinison.
